Customize or change depreciation rules.

1. To customize depreciation rules, click Settings on the home dashboard.

   

2. Click the Depreciation icon**.**

   

3. To edit an existing depreciation profile, select the edit button.

   

4. Find the category you would like to edit.

For Depreciation Basis, you can choose to apply:

• No Depreciation:
  • no depreciation will be taken on any item in this category.
• Annual Depreciation:
  • Based on the useful life, an equal percentage of depreciation will be deducted per year
• Flat Rate Depreciation:

  • A flat percentage will be deducted from any item in this category.

    

1. For any categories with Annual Depreciation, adjust the useful life to change the depreciation rate.

   • The depreciation rate uses the useful life to calculate equal depreciation deductions per year (e.g. 10 years useful life means an annual depreciation rate of 10%).

     

2. For any categories with Flat Rate Depreciation, there will be no useful life. Simply edit the depreciation rate by clicking on it.

3. To edit the Max Depreciation possible for a category, double click the percentage in the Max Dep. column.
